Elizabeth M. Crego is an associate at Friedman, Grimes, Meinken & Leischner, PLLC, focusing on estate planning and administration.
Prior to starting at the firm, Ms. Crego was the Elder Law Practice Group Chair at Legal Services of Northern Virginia, where she focused on providing advice and representation to seniors in Alexandria with regards to wills and agency documents, guardianships, and protective orders. She also represented tenants in landlord tenant matters and consumers in debt collection matters. Prior to working at LSNV, she worked as a solo practitioner, representing clients in a variety of matters to include drafting documents, landlord tenant matters, debt collection, and family law matters. From 2011 through 2014, she lived in Mexico City, becoming proficient in Spanish and assisting a Mexican law firm with the editing and translating of English language legal documents and advising on US legal concepts. She started working as a lawyer in 2007 representing HOAs and Condominium Associations in debt collection, general litigation, and in filing bankruptcy claims. While studying law at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, VA, she worked at the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Alexandria, assisting the attorneys with the arraignment and traffic dockets, researching criminal records, and preparing briefs for appeals.
Ms. Crego lives in Alexandria. In the evenings and weekends, she enjoys playing chauffeur for her three teenage/ pre-teen children and relaxing with a good book.
